What are you seeking?
Everyone wants something. Some people are seeking wealth, some are seeking power, some are seeking knowledge, some are seeking ease, some are seeking pleasure. All want success in some form or another. What are you seeking?
God is also a seeker. "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." (John 4:23)
A problem
There's a problem, though. Because of the rebellion of our first ancestor, we don't seek God. "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. (Romans 3:10-11)
So God, the seeker, sought: "The son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." (Luke 19:10) God himself became man and came into the world to seek those who didn't seek him. He paid the penalty for their sin by dying on the cross in the place of those who had been lost, and rose from the dead to impart to them new life, real life, a life of peace with God. What are you seeking? Are you seeking God? If you are really seeking God today, it is because God is seeking you.

What’s next?
"I am seeking God, but I'm not sure what to do." The first step, the last step, and all the steps in between to finding peace with God are to trust in his Son, Jesus Christ. To trust him means to rely on him. That in turn means calling sin what God calls it, and turning from your sins.
Start by turning away from all that your conscience tells you displeases God. Your conscience, however, is not an infallible guide. Begin to regularly read God's Word (the Bible), looking for, not only his promises of grace, but those things in your life which are at odds with what God created you for. As you discover them, turn from them as well, relying on God's grace and help.
Seeking God, trusting Jesus, turning from your sin -- this is not something you do once. It's something you have to do throughout your life. But if you've never done it before, if the grace of God is seeking you, why not do it right now?
All your heart
What you will gain is so unfathomable that it will take your whole earthly life, and forever after that, to begin to grasp it. If you seek him, it is because God is seeking you, and he makes this promise: "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13).
